Age AND Time Limit for Each Event*
Only 5K and 5 Mile Races are Chip Timed Competitive Events.
Road Races on Sonoma Ranch Blvd closed to ALL traffic
Course Information:
1 Mile FunRun from Start/Finish line through north parking lot to the gate and return.
2 Mile RaceWalk from Start/Finish line through north parking lot to Sonoma Ranch and turn north
to the turn around and return to Start/Finish line.
5K from Start/Finish line, run .5 mile to Sonoma Ranch Blvd and turn north to the turn around
and return to Start/Finish line.
5 Mile from Start/Finish line, run .5 mile to Sonoma Ranch Blvd and turn south,
then north to Lohman Ave turn around and return to Start/Finish line.
PARKING:
Use South Parking lot entrance to Centennial High School on Sonoma Ranch Blvd.

8:30 am: 2 Mile Race Walk (Clock time only)
8:45 am: 1 Mile FunRun (Clock time only)
9:15 am: 5K Road Race (Chip time)
10:00 am: 5 Mile Road Race (Chip time)
5K Team Information:
Minimum 5 Person Teams for 5K Road Race (maximum 10 people on a Team)

The 5 Fastest times are scored
Awards for the Top 3 5K Teams
Individuals are welcome run the Super Sunday 5K Road Race

Secure 5K and 1 Mile FunRun Road Race course on TWEF Parade route before the parade.
Course Information:
5K Road Race starts on Hadley then North on Solano around Apodaca Park at Madrid and back South on Solano to the
Hadley Start/Finish line. 1 Mile starts on Hadley to Solano then turns around at the .5 mile mark back to Start/Finish line.
PARKING:
Park SOUTH OF HADLEY on Hermosa, Las Cruces, Organ, or Griggs and enter the event on Hermosa.
Schedule:
7:30 am: Arrive CheckIn (ALL runners must sign Release and Waiver to receive bib number)
8:30 am: 5K Road Race (1 hour 5K time limit)
9:30 am: 1 Mile FunRun (20 minute time limit)
Course will be cleared after each race.

The
Day of the Dead Marathon Series will be held
October 29 - November 1,
2012 in Las Cruces, NM at the
Rio Grande Trail that starts at La Llorona
Park on Picacho Ave.
Each of the four days will have a marathon and a half-marathon that will begin at 7:00am. Runners and walkers can do one, all or any combination of races. This
is
being advertised at the national level and hopes to bring in some of
the big names in quantity marathon running = those runners who have run
300
marathons or more. There is currently a contest for who will be the
first American to hit 1000 marathons and the challengers are likely to
show in Las Cruces.
Nationally
known artist, Heather Calderon, has designed numerous Day of the Dead
paintings and her work will be used on t-shirts and prints given to the
participants. Volunteers
can get a free entry for a runner into a race, or if the volunteer is
a LCRC member the race company will donate to the club $50 per day per club member volunteer!
